| Taiwanese steel mills to start steel plate production - 10 Sep, 2010 | ||

It is reported that one of southern Taiwan's steel mills are going to start its steel plate production in next month; the monthly production quantity will be about 3,000 tonnes. The raising demand from Taiwan's popular construction projects might be the major reason to catch new mill to get into this market. China Steel Corporation and Tung Ho steel are the major steel plate producers in Taiwan. CSC's monthly output in average is about 60,000 to 70,000 tonnes and Tung Ho steel is mainly supplying for narrow width plates and its monthly output is about 7,000 tonnes to 8,000 tonnes.
